Why is my att u-verse box not working?


The receiver turns off (standby mode)
After eight hours of inactivity, your receiver automatically goes to standby mode. This feature is in place to conserve energy. To prevent your receiver from going to standby, just press a key like OK, Guide, or Options on your U-verse remote to restart the eight-hour cycle.

The receiver doesn't respond to the remote control
Check the batteries in the remote by pressing the AT&T button on the remote. If you see a red light, the batteries are still good. If you don’t see a red light or the red light is dim, replace the batteries in the remote.

Connection error on TV or receiver and WAP not pairing
Your receiver may be having too much distance from your WAP. Move your wireless receiver near to the WAP, and then pair them by pressing the WPS button on your WAP and the OK button on your wireless receiver. Pairing takes around two minutes. If pairing is successful, the Link light on your wireless receiver must turn green.

Try troubleshooting & resolving from your TV

Using your U-verse remote control:
1.                   Firstly, Press Menu.
2.                   Then choose Help > Information > Troubleshoot & Resolve > TV > DVR.
3.                   Follow the onscreen prompts.

Restart your receiver or fix particular problems
Several receivers’ issues can be fixed by restarting your receiver. To do this, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds. This takes 5-8 minutes and will affect any DVR recordings in progress.
