Try restarting the device first. To do so, open Settings > General > Restart.

If you can't restart your Apple TV, try the following steps:

1.                   Hold down Menu and Down on the Apple Remote for six seconds, and then release when you see the indicator light on the Apple TV blink quickly.

2.                   Unplug the Apple TV power cord for three seconds, and then plug it back in.

5.                   Clear the cache on the Apple TV (Hold down the Menu button for 10 seconds)

6.                   Power cycle the Apple TV (Power On/Off)

7.                   Confirm Apple TV software is up to date (Install available Apple TV software updates)

8.                   Reactivate the HBO GO application.

Fix HBO Go Video Problems

Usually, HBO Go video issues are a connection issue because of slow speeds on your Wi-Fi or on your cellular connection. Use the Speed test website or app to see how fast your connection is.
