Usually, HBO Go video issues are a connection issue because of slow speeds on your Wi-Fi or on your cellular connection. Use the Speed test website or app to see how fast your connection is. If it is slower than 3Mbps down, then that is likely the problem. To fix it, try turning airplane mode on, wait 10 seconds and turn it off. How to fix HBO Go Buffering & HBO Now Activate problems.

Here are the steps to boost the speed:
Avoiding Signal Blockers
1.       Avoid placing it in a closet or cabinet or putting it behind something (like TV, aquarium or staircase) that might weaken the Wi-Fi signal.
2.       Don't place it on the floor or low to the ground.
3.       Don't place it next to the windows.
4.       Open any doors to the room where you've placed the modem and Wi-Fi router.

5 GHz Only
Our latest Wi-Fi routers are all able to broadcast on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels, allowing the greatest number of devices to connect. The 5GHz channel is faster, however, it might have slightly less range. If your home requires less range (e.g. smaller homes, town homes, apartments) and you're using mostly newer devices supporting 802.11n or 802.11ac, then try broadcasting only on the 5GHz channel to get faster speeds on all your devices.

To use only the 5GHz channel, firstly sign in to your WiFi router and turn off the broadcast of your 2.4GHz channel.

Channel Width
Wave 2 routers default to work on automatic channel width selection that works for most environments and most clients. Although, for homes that have many neighbors nearby (e.g., apartments or town homes) who all have their own Wi-Fi networks, you might experience some Wi-Fi interferences. The longer your list of available networks, the more likely it is that your Wi-Fi channel is affecting your signal strength. If you reboot your modem and router, the modem automatically chooses the best available channel.

Rebooting Your Modem and Router
Rebooting your modem and Wi-Fi router assists to make sure you're getting the best possible Wi-Fi speeds.
·         Shut down your pc.
·         Unplug the power cord from the rear of the modem. If you have Voice service with Battery Backup, remove the battery.
·         Unplug the power cord from the router (Skip this step if you have a gateway).
·         Wait 30 seconds, reinsert the battery if applicable, and reconnect the modem power cord.
·         Wait 2 minutes to let the modem to connect. The modem connection lights will be solid.
·         Reconnect the power to the router.

How do I stop my internet from lagging?

Here are the steps:
1. Use a wired connection
Since wireless network traffic is sent all over the air, it can often become lost. If it does, your pc will have to resend the information, causing a noticeable delay. If you strengthen your wireless signal, the lag may be reduced somewhat, but all wireless signals carry this problem to some extent. To improve your download speeds and reduce latency, always consider using an Ethernet cable. This is one of the most effective investments you can make – in addition to being one of the cheapest – to enhance your connection.
2. Reboot your network hardware
Your network hardware can slow down a bit if it hasn’t been restarted in a while. While most modems or routers can only slow down after weeks or months of not being rebooted, some will slow down much more fastly. So, unplug both your router and modem for half an hour, reboot your modem and wait for it to load and then, start your router. It is also advisable to reboot your computer after completing this process. How to contact att uvese bill pay and att bill pay phone number.

3. Close bandwidth-intensive programs.
Network connections all have limited bandwidth. The amount yours has depends on the plan you select from your internet service provider. If you're using more than your maximum bandwidth, your network latency will drop. In addition, if you share your network with anybody else, any bandwidth-intensive programs running on your network will affect performance on the network.
4. Disable your firewalls.
Firewalls filter all outgoing and incoming network traffic that takes up time. Often, this may not become an issue, but if your firewall program has become corrupted or misconfigured, it can noticeably add to your latency. In addition, if you're running more than one firewall program, it can also boost your latency, as every program will be working over your connection.
5. Bypass faulty network hardware.
Generally, lag can be due to faulty network hardware. To see if this may is the cause of lag, temporarily bypass hardware that you don’t need to use at the time. For example, you can also try bypassing hubs, switches or routers and connect to your modem directly using an Ethernet cable. This may assist you to identify if a faulty piece of network hardware is the cause of the lag you’re experiencing.

6. Contact your internet service provider
If none of these options appear to help you reduce lag, you might have to contact your internet service provider to find out what the cause is and if it needs a connection to fix it. You can see if a technician might be required by running a speed test and checking for packet loss before you contact your service provider.
If it won’t works, visit ATT email login and att internet outage for more updates.
